How to Take Screen Shot on iPhone

The original iPhone version 1.x does not have a built in tool which allows users to capture screenshot. If the user wants to perform screenshot with the iPhone version 1.x, they must jailbreak or unlock it in order to run a third party screen capture utility. The new iPhone 2.0 has added a built in screenshot feature which make the screen capture process very convenient. With the upgraded built in screen capture feature, you will be able to perform screenshot in any application without the need of any third party application. The screenshot function is useful for people who want to take images of the apps in the iPhone to produce tutorials or show off in their blogs.

First of all, you must determine the area which you want to capture the screenshot. To obtain a screenshot, press and gold the Home button located at the bottom of your iPhone. After that, press and release the Sleep/Wake (On/Off) key located on the top right corner of the iPhone screen. When the iPhone attempt to capture the screenshot, a white flash will occur can be screen on the screen. When the white flash takes place, the image is automatically added to the camera roll in your iPhone. The iPhone camera roll is also known as the photo album.

Once you are in the Camera Roll folder, you should see the screenshot that you capture just now. The screenshot is capture in the highest quality of the JPEG format. You can use the email feature to email the screenshot to your friend, family, or anyone you want. If you want to post the image in your blog, you can email it to your own email address. From there, you will be able to save the screenshot into your computer and upload it to your blog.
