How to Sync an iPhone with Your Outlook Calendar or Google Calendar

iPhone enables you to sync your Outlook and Google calendar from the iTunes. Once you have sync the calendar to your iPhone, the calendar events will automatically update itself each time it refreshes.

In order to sync your iPhone with your Outlook calendar, you must have the latest iTunes version installed. You can check if you are using the latest version by going to Help < Check for Updates. After you have confirmed the iTunes version, you must connect the iPhone to a computer by using the iPhone cable. Once the cable is plugged in properly, the iTunes library will launch by itself. In the iTunes library, you should select Info tab > Sync Outlook Calendars. When you are prompted, click on the Apply button which is located on the lower right corner of your screen to synchronized your Outlook calendar with your iPhone.

If you want to sync your iPhone with Google calendar, you must first sign into your Google account. Once you have signed in, go to Google calendar. Next, you should click on the down arrow located in the calendar which you want to perform synchronization. When the drop down menu appears, select Share this calendar. When the My Calendar Details dialog box appear, click on the Calendar Details tab. After that, scroll down for the Private Address section located beneath the page and click on the ICAL button. When the new window with the calendar private addresses popup, you should press Control + C to copy it. After that, open the iCAL application and go to Calendar > Subscribe. After that, paste the URL which you copied just now into the dialog box and select the subscribe button. In this way, your iPhone will be synchronized with your Google Calendar. In the new window, enter the name and description for the calendar. You can specify the auto refresh interval for iCAL from the drop down menu. When you are done, click on the OK button. You will now see the Google calendar on the left hand pane of your iCAL window. Once your iPhone is sync with the Google calendar, it will automatically update all the events in your Google calendar events
